Home My WebLink AboutMinimum stock requirementsWIC Vendor Agreement 3/2026 Pg 1 IDAHO WIC PROGRAM Table 2 - MINIMUM STOCK REQUIREMENTS Stores with 3 or fewer cash registers must stock a minimum of 5 food items within each food category listed in the table below. For example, stores must stock 5 pounds of cheese, 5 boxes of cereal, 5 cans of infant formula, etc. Stores with 4 or more cash registers must stock a minimum of 10 food items within each food category listed below. Food Category Requirement Specifications • Contract soy-based formula in specified size in powder form Note: Stores must carry some of each type vegetables • Must stock at least 2 types of fruits and 2 types of vegetables • Must stock at least 2 varieties of cereal grains • Package sizes up to 24oz • 100% whole wheat only Brown Rice • 16 oz packages only Tortillas • Package sizes up to 48oz • Brand specific – see current authorized food list Whole Wheat Pasta • Package sizes up to 16oz • Brand specific – see current authorized food list Note: Stores must offer at least two different options, such as whole wheat bread and Cereal • Must stock at least 2 kinds of cold cereal and 1 kind of hot cereal • 1 cold cereal must be whole grain (indicated on the food list) • ½ gallon and quart containers can be counted toward the total minimum requirement • 16 oz (1lb) packages only • 16 oz (1 lb) packages dry beans or 15-16 oz canned beans • Type specific – see current authorized food list • 11.5-12 oz frozen or 64 oz plastic bottles • Brand specific – see current authorized food list
